Pulmonary Fibrosis: Pulmonary fibrosis is a condition where the lung tissue becomes scarred and thickened, making it difficult for the lungs to function properly. Cystic Fibrosis: Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disorder that affects the lungs and digestive system. It leads to the production of thick and sticky mucus in the airways, causing respiratory and digestive problems.

Bronchiectasis: Bronchiectasis is a condition where the airways in the lungs become widened and scarred, leading to recurrent lung infections and difficulty clearing mucus.

Chronic Bronchitis: Chronic bronchitis is a type of COPD characterised by inflammation of the bronchial tubes, leading to excessive mucus production and a persistent cough.

Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS): ARDS is a severe lung condition that can be caused by various factors, including infections, trauma, or inhalation of harmful substances. It leads to rapid onset of breathing difficulties.

Treatment for lung diseases depends on the specific condition and its underlying cause. It may include medications, lifestyle changes, pulmonary rehabilitation, or, in some cases, surgery. Quitting smoking and avoiding exposure to environmental pollutants are essential preventive measures for many lung diseases.
